Today at Closing the Gap 2008 Kathleen Post and Patti Rea taught a hands-on assistive technology lab called “Setting Up and Working with Switch Interfaces”.  After a brief overview, they taught how to use the following 4 programmable switch interfaces:

  • IntelliSwitch
  • Crick Switch Interface
  • SwitchHopper
  • StealthSwitch AT-5

The lab taught how to configure the various switch interfaces with Clicker 5 and Classroom Suite.  The 2.5 hour session covered a lot of material and by the end of the class everyone received an excellent overview on what to look for when choosing a switch interface and how to determine the keystrokes required when configuring a new software program.
